Is that a hipster or millennial thing to do? I want to because I despise bright chrome and people see the stock colors all the time. Current pics below

The bright blue blocks not enough?

Any color as long as it's black?

One day I want a car with an all white engine.

Millennials don't own cars. But yes that is a hipster thing to do.

I never liked non-stock engine colors aside from black.
I like chrome, but polished aluminum valve covers are infinitely better looking.
It can be overdone when everything is chrome and says edelbrock on it, but a nice block color and some tasteful chrome is hard to beat.
It's like crazedclay said, a sharp suit doesn't go out of style but a Hawaiian shirt does.

I would never do that.

If you're going to keep the car painted as is I'd definitely make the engine look the part.

Who cares dude, build your car for yourself not others. When it throws a leg outta the bed, it'll be pulled out and you can change the colour then lol

It's your car, so my advice would be do whatever you want to do with it; however, if you want to increase it's value, keep it as original as possible, or if you give a shit about what other people think of it.
Worst case scenario, you paint it, don't like it, and repaint it a different color.
